Who we are

South County Neighborhood Disaster Preparedness Project (SCNDPP) is a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation founded in 1998 for the purposes of organizing and providing Community Emergency Response Training and neighborhood disaster preparedness. Our activities are focused primarily in South Santa Clara County supporting the CERT, ARES, and related programs in Morgan Hill, San Martin, and Gilroy.  SCNDPP is an all volunteer organization.

Local CERT,  ARES/RACES, and other emergency preparedness teams have formed in south Santa Clara County, however, those teams don’t have a legal organization, and are not able to accept tax deductible donations for their emergency preparedness educational and charitable activities. They serve as volunteer organizations for their respective cities and unincorporated county areas. SCNDPP supports fund raising and administrative support for these volunteer organizations to provide them additional resources for more training, as well as CERT and ARES team equipment such as emergency CERT equipment trailers stocked with emergency tools, communications equipment, and supplies needed for initial disaster or emergency response.

SCNDPP is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization.  Our EIN is 77-0423949.
